Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at Witham

Guided exercise, education, and support to help you rebuild strength and breathe easier

Witham Cardiopulmonary Rehab

Witham's Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program offers outpatient services to patients recovering from heart and lung diseases. Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is generally a 12-week structured program of exercise and education to help you obtain maximum function. Sessions last one hour, three days per week.

Get Back to Doing What You Love

Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation is a supportive, medically supervised program designed to help you regain strength, improve endurance, and feel more confident in your daily life. With guided exercise, education, and encouragement from our care team, you’ll work toward healthier habits at a pace that’s right for you—so you can breathe easier, move better, and safely return to the activities you enjoy most.

Program Requirements, Monitoring & Insurance Coverage

Treatment goals are individualized, with monitoring of heart rate and rhythm, blood oxygen levels, and perceived exertion occurring at each visit.  Physician referral is required to enroll in the program and certain diagnostic or symptom criteria apply. Payment by insurance for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services depends upon the individual’s insurance policy. Insurance coverage will be verified prior to participation. In addition to the Phase II program, we offer an adult fitness program for individuals who have completed their insurance-covered portion yet wish to continue exercising in a safe environment. Self-pay for participation is on a monthly basis and is offered at alternate times to the Phase II program.
