Signed agreement is an important step toward investment in healthcare services for Boone County

Witham Health Services announced today that the health system has signed an Affiliation Agreement with Parkview Health following a unanimous vote of the Boone County Council, Boone County Commissioners and the Witham Board of Trustees during a public hearing earlier today.

Leaders from both Witham and Parkview emphasized their strong desire to expand services, enhance clinical capabilities and improve healthcare access for patients in and around Boone County.

“By joining Parkview, we will expand our reach, strengthen our ability to improve the health of our community, and bring even more advanced care closer to home,” said Kelly Braverman, President and CEO of Witham. “Parkview’s exceptional quality outcomes and shared commitment to our mission, values, and patient-centered care make this a natural partnership that will benefit our community for generations to come.”

“This partnership represents an important opportunity to build on Witham’s strong foundation of local care while connecting providers and patients with the clinical resources and scale of Parkview Health,” said Dr. Ray Dusman, president of physician and clinical enterprise, Parkview Health. “Together, we can support physicians and care teams with expanded access to specialty expertise, world-class clinical care technology, and coordinated, shared services to lower costs, while ensuring patients in Boone County and surrounding communities continue to receive the compassionate, high-quality local care they trust.”

Both Witham and Parkview are nonprofit organizations that share a deep commitment to delivering high quality, patient-centered care and strengthening access to services in the communities they serve. Witham’s long-standing reputation, strong clinical performance and trusted presence in Boone County align closely with Parkview’s mission to support local healthcare delivery, address evolving community needs and ensure rural and growing areas of Indiana have sustainable, high-quality care for years to come.

Patients will continue receiving care from the same trusted providers at the same locations they know today.

The Affiliation Agreement remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory review, which is expected to take at least 90 days. Pending this review, the organizations anticipate finalizing the affiliation in January 2027. Updates from Witham will be shared at www.witham.org/announcement.
