Sunflower Award Honorees

Witham wants to congratulate Lee Gregory, paramedic and Justin Wright, EMT who were both named Witham Sunflower Honorees! They both exemplify Witham’s mission by providing personalized care. Below is an excerpt from their nomination:

A patient and his wife were driving from South Carolina to their home in Wisconsin when he started experiencing chest pain. They stopped at the Anson ED and the patient was admitted to Lebanon as an inpatient. His wife left Anson and was to drive to Lebanon to a hotel. His wife never arrived and the police were called. His wife was found on I-465 south and brought to Lebanon to reunite with her husband (she was lost and has dementia). Lee and Justin brought the patient from Anson and went and picked up their car. They parked the car at the ED where the patient can access when discharged. They even filled their car up with gas! They were so caring and thoughtful to this couple. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND!

Lee and Justin, thank you for your efforts in taking care of this patient and his wife. By going the extra mile you made a huge impression. Congratulations on this tremendous honor.
