June 11, 2026
As of 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, phone and internet service have been restored at Witham Health Services in Lebanon. The Emergency Department and physician practices continue to be open for patients. Surgeries are expected to resume as scheduled on Friday, June 12.
During the evening of Wednesday, June 10, Witham Health Services experienced an electrical panel failure affecting power service to some of the cooling systems serving its main hospital campus. Critical systems including phone and internet services were impacted. Crews worked throughout the night to restore those systems.
“Caring for our patients is our highest priority,” said Chief Medical Officer, Wm. Ross Strong, M.D. “We are working diligently to ensure all our patients continue to receive the highest level of care.”
Surgeries and outpatient procedures scheduled for June 11 were canceled and some patients were transferred to nearby hospitals to ensure they continued to receive the appropriate level of care.
