Raised alongside eight siblings on a working farm, my becoming a physician might best be attributed to family, fortitude and faith. I am now also blessed to be a mother and grandmother, with three children and three grandchildren. I enjoy travel, hiking, antiquing, cooking, documentaries, music, piano, violin… but above all spending time with family and friends. Medicine is not only my career - but a calling and privilege – and each day is complete if my patients feel they have been heard, respected and genuinely cared for.

My favorite part of being a healthcare provider is being privileged not only to care for the health of an individual but to learn about their family, interests, hobbies, hopes and aspirations - to be able to laugh together or simply be there when they need consolation, encouragement or a listening ear. Family Medicine offers a physician the joy of seeing people across life’s timeline- from children to seniors- and bringing each the best you have to offer.
