Sally Lynn Coan Scholarship
The Witham Health Services Foundation is honored to offer the Sally Lynn Coan Scholarship to one (1) graduating senior from Lebanon High School OR Western Boone Jr.-Sr. High School who will be pursuing a degree in nursing. This scholarship is generously funded by her family.
Sally grew up in Carmel and graduated from the Methodist School of Nursing in Indianapolis as an R.N. in 1967. The majority of Sally’s nursing career was spent on the Southside of Chicago at Ingalls Memorial Hospital. In 1987 Sally’s family and career led her to relocate to Lebanon and Witham Hospital where she served the community as a Home Health Care Nurse and eventually went on to become the Director of the Zionsville Medical Center. She lost a long battle to ovarian cancer in 1998. Sally's passion for helping people was never a question; she encouraged future generations to simply be kind and to look beyond the illness.
The Scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $3,000. For more information about the Sally Lynn Coan Scholarship you may contact the Foundation office at 765-485-8112.
2026 Application
The 2026 application for the Sally Lynn Coan Scholarship is available to graduating high-school seniors, both online and through each school's guidance counselor's office. Applications are due to the guidance office by 3:00 pm on Friday, March 20, 2026. Download the application below.

The Witham Health Services Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the Sally Lynn Coan Scholarship. This year's applicant pool was filled with outstanding students who demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, service and a strong commitment to their future careers. Each candidate reflected the values these scholarships were created to honor, making the selection process both inspiring and highly competitive.
