Witham Memorial Hospital has record-breaking deliveries - Archived
The Maternity Center at Witham Memorial Hospital had a record-breaking year of deliveries in 2011. Frederick “Fritz” James Heine was born on December 31, 2011 at 10:09 a.m. weighing 7 lbs, 6 oz and reaching 19 1/2 inches in length, making him the 428th baby. Proud parents James and Tracy Heine of Lebanon, as well as big sister Annalise are all excited about the new bundle of joy that arrived. Dr. Ted Winkler, Creekside OB/GYN delivered the last baby of the year.
Vicki Medley, Clinical Director, Maternity Center, said the record number of births at Witham is a direct result of the growing number of young families moving into Boone County and the surrounding area and Witham's terrific reputation in the community. Witham's maternity department features private suites, where expecting moms labor, deliver and recover.
All of the rooms emphasize family-center care where Witham staff support and empower expecting moms and their family. Expecting moms can schedule a private tour of the Maternity Center and learn more about support and educational classes by calling 765-485-8120.
