Residents of Boone County now have a lovely spot at which to sip a latte -- or better yet, a café mocha. Pavilion Perk, at Witham Health Service's North Pavilion, is open for business.

The coffee shop is warm and inviting with comfortable seating and a faux fireplace. All the usual suspects are available on the drink menu, but there are some pleasant additions -- for example, a coffee fruit cocktail and yogurt smoothies. On the food side of things, you can find fresh baked items including muffins, cookies and cinnamon rolls. If you are interested in sandwiches and salads, one can find items like a strawberry spinach salad, the classic cobb salad, veggie wraps and more.

Pavilion Perk currently is open 7:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday and is located at 2705 N. Lebanon Street in the North Pavilion wing of Witham Health Services.
