Thomas Cartwright, M.D. - Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Thomas Cartwright grew up in Evansville Indiana. While serving in the US Army as a laboratory technician at the US Army’s Institute of Infectious Disease, his interest became focused on medicine as a career goal. After discharge, he returned to Indiana completing his undergraduate degree at Southern Indiana University. He studied in Indianapolis at Indiana University School of Medicine earning his MD degree then went on to specialize in Internal Medicine. At Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee, he went on to subspecialize in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care. He also completed a Sleep Medicine fellowship in Columbus Ohio at the Ohio Institute of Sleep Medicine. He completed board certifications in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. After his training he started his practice at St. Vincent’s Hospital but relocated to Witham Health Services over 10 years ago. He now is serving as Chief Medical Officer in addition to his medical practice, Witham Pulmonary Associates. He is married to Sarah, has 2 sons and enjoys fishing, hunting and sailing.
Diane L. Feder, MBA, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE - Chief Operating and Chief Nursing Officer
Dr. Diane Feder serves as Chief Operating and Nursing Officer of Witham Health Services in Lebanon, Indiana. Before joining Witham in 2001, Dr. Feder was a Vice President of Patient Services at St. Anthony Medical Center, in Crown Point Indiana. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive, Advanced by the American Nurses Credentialing Center; and as well as a board certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Over the past 40 years, she has devoted her professional career to the care of patients in various hospital areas including critical care nursing and nurse education. Dr. Feder is involved in a number of professional organizations: American Nurses Association, American Organization of Nurse Executives, American College of Healthcare Executives, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She earned her Master of Nursing Practice from Purdue University School of Nursing, a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University, and earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Pittsburgh with a specialty focus in Nursing Administration.
George Pogas, CPA - Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. George Pogas joined Witham Health Services in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining, Mr. Pogas worked at St. Joseph Hospital & Health Center in Kokomo, Indiana as Controller. Mr. Pogas earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. His professional affiliations include: Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Indiana CPA Society.
John Komenda, MBA, CPA - Vice President of Physician Services
Mr. John Komenda has been Vice President of Physician Services since November 2013. Mr. Komenda's healthcare experience includes Chief Financial Officer of Hendricks Regional Health Guild, Inc. for thirty years, five years as a member of healthcare audit and consulting teams for two regional CPA firms and one year as a cost accountant at Indiana University Medical Center. He is active in his church and civic groups. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Indiana CPA Society, Medical Group Management Association, and Healthcare Financial Management Association. Mr. Komenda received his Bachelor of Science degree (1976) and his Master's degree in Business Administration (1991) from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.
Stephen J. Bardoczi, MHA, FACHE, NHA, CRE - Vice President Planning & Senior Services, Administrator - Extended Care Unit
Mr. Stephen Bardoczi joined Witham Health Services as Vice President of Planning & Senior Services in August 2013. He most recently added Administrator of the Witham Extended Care Unit in February 2015 and also oversees managerial responsibility for 43 collaborative long term care partnerships. Stephen Bardoczi previously served as Senior Vice President of Planning and Real Estate - Franciscan Sisters of Chicago Service Corporation for 12 years. He was President at Franciscan Homes and Community Services for 5 years. Prior to that, he was Administrator of St. Anthony Homes for 8 years. He received his Master’s in Health Administration (1988), and a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health Administration (1986) from Indiana University. He is also a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
